Hey everyone,
So, a long week this has been :) But its over :)
Ok, so wednesday, we were setting up for the dance show "vibe" at my school ( its what jess and I did ballroom dance in last year) So yeah, we were setting that up, and Jackie was putting risers away under the stage, and she caught her finger inbetween the riser cart and the concrete wall. Her hand was bleeding like crazy, and when she went and got it checked out, it turned out she fractured the bone from the base of her right pointer finger to the knuckle, and from there on up, was, well, shattered. The nail got torn right off and she was in pain BIG time. Sometimes I wonder why bad crap happens to good people? Kinda confuses me.
So.... got the flight booked for Ottawa, on thrusday, december 27th.... only 13 days away... I can make it, i swear :)
I miss Jess so much, I cant wait to get off that plane and see her standing there, that will be awesome. Tomorrow is her birthday, happy birthday sweety :) The big 19... wow.
Well, tonight was vibe, it went excelent, and it was a really fantastic show. No broken fingers tonight.
Okay, I guess thats all for now. Love ya Jess! See ya soon sweety, and happy birthday once again :)
Love,
Kyle

"Killa Party", and other random rambling.
Hey everyone!
Well, last night was the party that I DJ'd for that one random lady. It was actually an awesome party. My premiere observation , was that Myself, and the bartender ( this HOUSE PARTY had a bar tender, and the owners of the house supplied the booze, it was a FULL bar...crazy)anyways, myself and this bartender were the only white people at this party. It was a blast though, the energy in this place was through the roof, and everyone had a blast :) They loved me, many people ASKED for business cards, and I got paid more then I asked for. $35 more. Pretty sweet....

The lady who organized it is some lady that works at clarica, and she is a bartender on the side. SHE was offering me drinks, and the bartender they hired in was offering me drinks. I drank only water, as I felt anything other then that would be innapropriate and , well, I just didn't need it :)
Oh yeah, and I GOT MY G2!!!! WOOHOO!!!! ( drivers liscense where I DONT need someone with me to drive :) )
So, sometime this week, I'll get to go and get my shopping done, which will be good. Queensmount decided their dance will be in the new year, so that didnt work out. Oh well :)
17 more sleeps :P
Well, thats all for now.
Take care everyone!
Much Love,
Kyle

I miss you Jess
Hello everyone,
Wow, it sure sucks being away from Jess for periods of time, even though I just saw her on the weekend, its knowing that I wont see her till the 26th that sucks the most. Im sure that AT LEAST one person reading this can relate to what I mean, it sucks, but it is always worth it in the end, because to see your smile, hold your hand, makes all the waiting so worthwhile. Hopefully before you leave on the 14th, you pop by here, it would be a LOT easier :)
I hope that your exams are going okay, your never around when I call , so i have no idea, lol :P Oh wlel, I've been thinking about you anyway.
Well, heres a song that reminds me of you... of us... ( if it works this time :P)
Take care, I love you :)

Im back!
Hey everyone,
My computer is back to health, it got a nasty virus and needed a complete HD wipe and OS install. Crappy work, but the computer is running excelent now :) ( as excelent as windows CAN be, after all)
Well, went to the dentist today, had to get 2 fillings. My mouth has been numb since about 1:30 when it was done, and lasted till about 7:00. I tell ya, I REALLY dont like that feeling. It was cool for the first 5-10 mins ( I can bite my tounge, woo) but then it starts to get really annoying, and the inability to feel your whole mouth is, well, scary.
But.. Im back now, I can feel my mouth, surf the web, and ...grr....shovel. I really dont like shoveling, and being my morals are just TOO good, I cant watch the lady next door shovel her driveway, as she is fairly old, so I did her driveway too. Kinda regretted that half way through, but I felt good afterwards for doing it. I am going to keep an eye out in the paper or kijiji or something, because between my huge driveway, and neighbours, I would love a snowblower. oh well, I'll worry about that some other time.
Got a gig this weekend, Saturday, and it should be awesome, its all top 40 and old school, which is what I specialize in, so im happy :) Then I can start my xmas shopping, pick up Jess's gifts, and do whatever needs doing with the moolah. Im also DJing Queensmount's school dance at some point... they havent decided a date or price that they can pay yet... Gotta love organized schools :) I know all about that :)
Well, thats all for now. Untill next time!
Love,
Kyle

Jess's!!!!
Hello Everyone!
Soo, im writing this saturday evening, I just dropped Jess off at a show she had to usher tonight, so I figured it is a great time to write about what an awesome weekend I am having here :)
So, just to clear things up, I got booted out of footloose 2 days before opening night, all because I missed 3 practices last weekend that I didnt know about. Luckily, however, this gave me the oppourtounity to come down and see Jess :)
So, got here Friday night, around 6:30 ish, mom drove me. Jess had a call or something , so me and the family went for dinner at a place called KC ribs and wings. It was delicious. We went back to the place, on gerrard, where we parked, and we had a ticket. $30. Apparently you needed to purchase a ticket and display in windshield. We were none the wiser, so now were $30 poorer. oh well, I guess.
Afetr dinner, mom dropped me at Jess's, some girl let me in the building, and I put my bag in ehr room, and went Grocery shopping. I bought grocerys for the weekend, and went back to her place. When she finally got home, we watched "wolf creek" , which kinda sucked, and then she decided she had the munchies, so I made her Grilled cheese. She loved it, so im happy.
Once we finally got to sleep, we did so, and then woke up at about 11:30 or so this morning. I figured it was around lunch, so I made us our lunch. I made fajitas, with beef, green peppers, mushrooms, and cheese. They were delicious. We went shopping, as Jess needed a few things from the store, and when we came back, and I made dinner. For dinner tonight, I made a chicken terriyaki stir fry. Now, if you know Jess at all, you know she HATES chicken. But she LOVED this. I bought special chicken, it was marinated in this awesome greek marinade, and seasoned to perfection. We made carrots, brocoli, cauliflower, sprouts, and rice, used teriyaki sauce, and then topped it with the chicken. It was absolutely amazing, and we both had a VERY filling, delicious meal. Afetr dinner, we came up to her room, she got ready for her show tonight, and I walked her to her theater. Or theatre, however you spell it.
Well, im going to go for a walk now, I dont have to get Jess till about 1 AM.
Take care, much love!

Recent Unfortunate Events
I am writing today to inform any readers of the unfortunate happenings recently, affecting my life and those around me.
The first mention is to a very special lady to my special lady. ( it made sense to me :P ) This lady was named Anna, and Anna was a Stage Manager at kitchener's very own Theatre and Company. Jess co-op'ed there for a length of time in her last little while at Forest Heights, and looked very highly upon this lady. It was very unfortunate that this had to take place, and I wish everyone all the best who was affected by it.
The seccond is a little nearer and dearer to my heart. On Friday, November 9, 2007, at 2:43 PM, Helen Lehmann, my great Grandmother, passed away peacefully at her nursing home with plenty of family around to say goodbye. I had the priveledge, no, the honour, to sit at Grandma's bedside for a period of time prior to her passing, and I know I am really going to miss her. The funeral home made a website ( kind of) for her, and you may view it, containing her obituary, at the following link.
http://www.henrywalser.com/runtime.php?SiteId=-1265&NavigatorId=-89037&op=moreinfo&viewOpt=dpaneOnly&ItemId=61108
Id like to thank everyone, namely Jess and her entire family, for all theyre support and condolences at this time. It is a tough time for everyone, and as long as we all continue to stay near and dear to those we love, the pain is somehow dulled and we are eventually able to continue on, without hurt, but with happy memories.
Mucho Love..o..?

Motivational Speech, Gay guys, and missing Jess <3
Alrighty, so the title pretty much sums it up what this post is about.
Ill do it in the reverse order, as this is the order in which they are important to me.
So , first off, I miss Jess big time, I hate not seeing her, its tough. She means so much to me and to not be able to see someone you love this much, is really tough. Im sure some of the readers, infact one in particular, can relate to this.
So, not to dwell on that too much, ill move along. So, I took the Gypsy over to the store to rent a movie ( the gypsy is my sister, for anyone who doesnt know) and we rented a movie. We rented " I think I love my wife" which was actually a hilarious movie, it was touching and had a great story to it. Walking home, some guys stop theyre car, look me up and down, wink, and the speed away. Come on, now, WHY ME? Its not like im some hot super model guy or something, im far from, WHY ME?
So yeah, getting off that topic as soon as freakin possible, ill move on. I had to write a motivational speech for my peer tutoring class. We had to base it around one of FHCI's " top 10 values", and I picked respect, as most of the stuff regarding to respect hit pretty close to home. Here it is. Sorry if it sucks, but I cant write speeches to save my life. Oh yeah, and you had to make up a story to go with it. hence the random story.
My Motivational Speech - Kyle Hicks - Respect
Ladies and gentlemen, today Im going to be talking to you about respect. Theres an ancient persian proverb " He who wants a rose must also accept the thorns" . But what does this mean? Picture a rose in your mind right now. Its smooth, delicate petals, blossomed into the most beautiful flower you have ever seen. But, even this rose, in its sheer complexity, has its pitfalls. This rose, although stunning to the eyes, has thorns. Im not just rambling on about roses, because to be quite honest, I don't know the first thing about them, what im doing is simly giving you an example. Its just like that special guy or gal. They may be the most stunning thing you have ever set your eyes on, and at first glance, you may think that this is somthing that god made for himself, but what you don't see is this persons thorns. What you missing, ladies and gentleman, is that this person had downsides. Lets face it, everyone does. What we need to do, as humans, and especially as guys, is learn to whole-heartedly respect everything about a person. Im sure some of you or most of you , at least, have a boyfirend or girlfriend right now, and if not, I would assume you have had one at some point or another. What you will learn, is that you can not TRULY love that person until you learn to respect him or her. Now, respecting someone may be tough for some of you, but what you need to do is learn to respect yourself, before you can go and try to respect someone else. Wait a minute, respecting yourself? How do I do that? The answer is simple people. What you have to do is every morning, when you wake up, take a look into that mirror, and tell yourself you look good. Damn good. And that below-average mark you got on your last science test? Forget it! Instead, focus on the A you got on your history test, and accept that you are not perfect. Nobody is, and that is something we all need to get used to. Once you learn to accept your own flaws, you will be much more prepared to accept any flaws that other people may have, and instead of criticizing them for theyre flaws, embrace theyre strengths. Don't tell your girlfriend she looks fat, tell her she looks better then ever. And mean it. Respect isnt about lying to please, respect is about truly accepting and embracing other people. Im going to tell you a story about a girl named Ally. Ally was was a young girl, in grade 10. Ally was a very smart girl, infact Ally should be in grade 9, but she is such a smart girl, they put her right in grade 10. Ally didn't have many friends, and although she desperately wanted to be friends with whoever she met, nobody really wanted to be friends with Ally. You see, Ally was a beautiful girl. She had beautiful blonde hair, more vibrant then gold itself, she had eyes you could die for, as blue as the sea, and a smile that must have been a mistake, because it belonged on an angel. Ally had a great figure, and did whatever she could to keep it that way. Ally had a heart of gold, and was willing to share this gold with whoever was bold enough to ask for it. Ally wore the latest clothes, always had her hair done to perfection, and a french manicure that would drive you insane. But, as I said , everybody has imperfetcions, and Allys thorns was this: Ally was missing her left leg. When she was 12, Ally's parents took her on a cruise. They brought along Ally's little dog, tito, and one night , Tito fell overboard the ship. Ally didn't hesitate to jump in after the dog, and although she saved the dogs life, she lost her her left leg on a propeller at the back of the ship. Ally gave up her left leg for Tito. So heres Ally, sitting in her wheelchair in her Civics class, when all of a sudden theres a knock at the door. Ally's teacher got the door, and when it opened, it was almost as if a spotlight came on, a bright light from the heavens. On the other side of this door, stood a boy, no shorter then 6 feet. With his hair combed to the side and a set of pearly's too white to be real, he caught Allys eye as he stepped into the room. With each stride he took, he seemed to move slower and slower, as Ally stared in awe. The teacher announced that the class was getting a new student, and asked the boy his name. In a thick, beautiful french accent, he replied " Pierre". Ally was in love.
Ally's desk was at the back of the room, and Pierres was at the very front. Ally arrived early every day, even before the teacher, just so she would have the chance to Gaze as Pierre entered the room and took his seat. Ally was head over heels for pierre, but it just seemed to her that this guy would never have any interest for her. This same routine carried on for 3 weeks. On Monday morning of week four, as Ally rounded the corner to get to her class, there, standing outside of the classroom, was Pierre. Ally stopped dead in her tracks. Was she seeing things? No, this was really happening. Ally approached him, and as she neared, he held the door open for her, and she entered. She went to her usual spot at the back of the room, and Pierre followed her. He pulled up a chair beside Ally, and extended his right hand out to shake Ally's. "J'mapelle Pierre", he said, and as theyre fingers touched, Ally could feel chills throughout her entire body. As soon as she managed to say " Hello Pierre, my name is Ally", Pierre reached out his left had from behind his back, and in it, he held a single long-stem red rose. He handed her the rose, and attached to it, was a small card. On the card, it said " To my Dearest Ally: May my affection towards you be shown through means of this flower, for you are absolutely beautiful. Yours Truly - Pierre."
As a single tear rolled down Ally's cheek, Pierre produced a tissue from his handbag, and handed it to Ally. As the rest of the class filed in, Pierre made his way back to his place, at the front of the room. The rest of that class was a blur in Ally's mind, because the way she was treated, just moments before, left her without words. This just goes to show you, just how much a little thing, like a rose and a silly letter, can mean to a person. But these things, only mean something, if you are sincere when you give it to them. You see, later that day, Ally was wheeling down the hall, with a smile ear to ear, when she got to her locker. She opened it up, put in ehr books, when suddenly, just feet away from her, she could hear Jenna giggling with her friends. She listened in, and overheard Jenna's conversation. "Oh my god, in third period today, Pierre met me before class, and he gave me a long stem red rose, and along with it, he gave me a card. It read: To my Dearest Jenna: May my affection towards you be shown through means of this flower, for you are absolutely beautiful. Yours Truly - Pierre."
To Ally's amazement, she glared over towards Jenna, and to her horror, it was infact the same card that was presented to her, just hours before. Ally's heart was broken. Not only had Pierre falsely made Ally feel like she was floating on clouds, but he lassoed her around the neck and jerked her back down to earth with the most abrupt slap to the face that she could have imagined.
This story, although a bit extreme, just goes to show what a little bit of respect can do for a person, and how abusing that respect can be devastating, even though your intentions were probably no where close to the way things panned out.
So heres my final message to you. They say that any moment, of any day, you could get hit by a bus and your life will be over, so you shoud take advantage of every situation and live life to the fullest, without any regrets. Well, my message, is that this is absolute bull. You probally wont be hit by a bus, and every decision you make, can affect you for the rest of your life. So respect those around you, make good choices, and be treat others the way you want to be treated.
Thank you!
________
Well, take care, Love you all!
Kyle

Thank you!

Well, take care, Love you all!

Jess's, OSLC, and hypnosis
Hey everyone, and welcome back to another edition of "Weasels, unfunny clownfish, and caulking guns" My name is Kyle, and I will be your host for the evening.
If you hop into the time machine to your left there , press " 10-26-2007-8-00" , I will take you back to Friday night, where our story for this evening begins.
So, after school friday, I took a greyhound down to Toronto to visit Jess for the weekend. I was looking very forward to going and seeing her, and it proved to be very much so worth it. I went down friday night, arrived there at about 8:00, which kinda sucked, but oh well, such is life. Jess zapped us up some Chili n' chips, and that was really really tasty. We watched a movie I brought, "Bloody Mary", but it pretty much sucked. It was blatantly a low-budget film, and it lacked whatever content strikes general interest these days. It kinda reminded me of the movie I made back in grade 9, except I didnt die in this movie. Sorry.
So Saturday morn' , we wake up, and we cant really decide what to do for breakfast. So, we beat around the bush for a bit, and finally decided that we would go to Arby's , concidering that it was probably around 11 by this point. We went, had some Bacon Cheddar melts and curly fries, and A&W root bear (yum) and then we decided we would walk around the mall for a bit. We went to the apple store, which was overcrowded, we went to some stores and Jess looked at $300 boots, and then we went to the Bay to try and find my Grandma, if she was working there. Well, she wasn't, so we went to "christmas street" which is the Bay's nickname for there Christmas displays. They were beautiful, and it was nice to look at. Plus, they had huge nutcrackers, which have always fascinated me for whatever reason. Maybe I was dropped on my head as a baby.
Anywho, we went back to Jess's after that, and hung around her room for a bit. we watched weird videos online, and just spent some quality time together. I always love doing that.
Jess had some 3 hour opera thing that she had to go to that night, so my idea of cooking us a nice reomantic dinner was scrapped. We decided we should go out and try to find somthing to eat. I had seen a place, its a chinese or some asian place, where you cook your own food on the grill in front of you. We walked around Yonge for a bit, and finally found it. We went in, and were obviously a minority. We ordered the "all you can eat bbq" meal, which sounded good enough. They brought us:
Beef
Pork
More Pork ( different cuts)
Squid
Salmon
Weird fish
Chicken
and a various assortment of noodles, rice, soups, and the like.
It was delicious. Luckily, I knew what most of the stuff looked like cooked, so I made sure that neither of us got sick from the food. The only thing I didnt know how to cook is the squid, but we figured er' out. It was all really good, and I would definitely go back again. They offer you the option to get shrimp + lamb as well, and we will definitely do that :) No ox tongue though, they offer you that :P
So, I walked Jess to her theater thing so she could watch her opera, and I went to blahblah's ( it was actually dominion, but blahblah's is way cooler) and I picked Jess up some groceries, things like bread, fruit cups, a 24 case of water, enough crustal light to flavour the sea, and some breakfast things for the next morning. ( i.e. Bacon, Lettuce , Tomatoes, but that will come later in the story) things for the next morning, and I surprised her with a bouquet of a dozen roses for when she got home. When i tried to leave the store, the carts wheels locked up. Guess that aint' coming home with me. So, I got to carry all the groceries. Which would have been fine, expect the water was heavy as FiretrUCK, and the bread and flowers were delicate, so i couldn't just juggle them home. I finally managed to her home, put ehr groceries away, cut the flowers, vase'd them, and awaited Jess's thing to be done. Well, that definitely is easier said then done, as within half an hour of being back, a girl comes to the door and asks if I can go help set up for the halloween party that night. So, not being a jerk, I went. I hung more streamers and cob webs then you'd know what to do with, and then headed back to the dorm. I hung there for a bit, and then went to pick up jess. We got back, got into our costumes, and headed off to the party at the pub down the street. We partied for a bit, then went back to Jess's, as her feet were sore. We hung there, took some pictures, spent time with eachother, and then hit the hay for the evening. In the morning, Jess's Alarm went off for 9, I went downstairs, fried up the bacon, cut up tomatoes, and lettuce, and made BLT's for ehr and I. The smell of real bacon was awesome, and it certainly drove her house mates craaazy. I sadly had to leave her place at this point, and up to the greyhound terminal I went. The princess got some sleep once I left, and I had a nice long bus ride home ( it stopped at the Guelph terminal for 45 minutes)
And so heres the ending to the story of Jess and Kyle's weekend, or shall I say, here begins the story of Kyle, at OSLC.
Sunday, I had to depart for a leadership conference in London at 2:45. Suuucked big time. I so did not want to leave Jess's for this. We bussed there, checked in, and had a dance that night. It pretty much sucked, so i just went to my room and watched TV. Monday, we had workshops all day, which kinda sucked, and then a dance that night too. Went for like 20 minutes and then went and hung out with other people that appreciated how crappy the dance was. We ended up having a huge Toga party, and like 100 of us paraded around the hotel screaming songs about togas and whatnot. The manager finally shut that down, and we all went and retired for the evening.
Next morning, we had more workshops, and the one I chose to go to just happened to be a hypnotist. I was one of the few "lucky" ones who got to be hypnotized, and I assure you that this scared the shit out of me that it worked. What i did was went back for the seccond seminar to see what all happened to me.
So, he starts off with everyone in the audience, he does some weird thing and you put your index fingers an inch apart and then they get "magnetized" together. Well, this worked on me, so he called me and about 10 others to the front. We went, and he started talking to us. He eventually got us to go into a trance, if you will, and it was right before this where I lost and and all recolection about what happened. Seeing from the seccond show, what happened now was he said " you are sitting on a beach, which was cool because everyone actually sweat, and was basking in the sun, and then all of a sudden, he told us it was freezing rain, and everyone was freezing and grabbing other people up there for warmth.
He then said " I am about to throw you the keys to your favourite sportscar" and we proceeded to actually pretend to be driving a car. Following that, he said we were in the middle of jurassic park, and that was scary enough in its own right, because even the big, buff guys, were crying like babies. I hope I didnt do that. Then he did a bunch of other crazy stuff which I am too exhausted to talk about right now, but I can assure you, it scares the hell out of me that this worked on me. I am very skeptical about this type of thing, and the fact that it worked and i had no control or memory of any of my actions over the period of an hour, kinda scares me.
Well, i'll continure the hypnosis story at another point, but I am BEAT tonight.
Thanks for the great weekend Jess! I love you!
Much love everyone!
Kyle

Jess and I
Well, basically this blog is just about how amazing of a girl Jess is, and how lucky I am to have her.
I remember back when we first met, there was always somthing special there, we somehow "clicked" in ways that I never had before with other people.
Then, when we first started dating, I remember that there was this connection, this pull, to eachother, that I had never experienced quite so much in a relationship before. I somehow knew from that day forward that this girl was the one for me.
Over the past year and a bit , now, Jess and I have flourished, not only as individuals, but as a couple, and as eachothers best friends. She has turned into this Amazing woman that I never thought I would find, and she has turned me into this caring, loving guy that I am today. We have been by eachothers sides through thick and thin, and we have hit many speed bumbs along the way, but through it all, we have stuck by eachothers sides 100% , and never truly given up. Whilst she is virtually perfect in my eyes, I know I have made my share of mistakes, and she has forgiven me for all of them with all the love that she has, and supports me in everything I do, just as I support her. I am behind her all the way in whatever she choses to do in life, and I know that she is for me too. The respect that I have gained for this girl, along with the mutual love and trust that we have established is truly remarkable.
If there is only one thing in the world that I can promise you, it is this: I promise to always be there, and I promise that I'll always strive to find a way to continually be the guy of your dreams. Its the least I can do, seeing as you are indeed the woman of mine.
Whatever I did to be so lucky to deserve this girl, this woman, I am glad, because I dont know where I would be today without her in my life. She is like a northern star, always guiding me in the right direction, and I will forever be thankful for the impact you have had on my life.
Well, take care, whoever took the time to read this!
Much Love,
Kyle

An awesome weekend!
Well, everyone, im home, and I just got back from a beautiful weekend with Jess and her family. Friday, I went to school, and there was a bomb threat, so i figured screw it. Jess's Grandparents picked me up around noon that day, we went down to Toronto, and picked up the princess there. We drove and drove, and to make a long story short, drove, and finally got to the friendly city, well, town, well, village, of Dunrobin. Jess's mom, Lisa, had a fantastic meal waiting for us, consisting of prime rib, potatoes, and 4 VERY grateful travelers. Shortly afterwards, we hit the hay, I bunked up with the girly and had a fantastic sleep. In the morning, we woke up and went and ate at the eating place, which was really yummy, I ended up having falaffel and hummus for breakfast, which was a bit unorthadox, but delicious! We hung around the house that day, played some scrabble, got my arse kicked at it, and then we decided maybe it was getting to be bed time. I went up, had a shower, and was in jess's room getting dressed when all of a sudden, I hear this loud noice outside. At first, it was a car accelerating like a retard, like he was going normal speed down this road, which was probally at least 100, and then all of a sudden he floored it. Well, the car squeaked, i heard it hitting gravel, and that was it. Following a loud FUCK, i ran downstairs, only fully clothed about 3/4 of the way down the stairs, and looked out the window. Nothing. There was no crash, nothing. So, Lisa and Shawn get outside, and drive to the end of the driveway, and they are looking around. Nothing. Then Lisa got out of the car, looked around, and shouted across the road " is anybody out there" when all of a sudden, some guy is like " uh, yeah" and crawls out of the ditch across the road. When his buddy got out too, Lisa went over and we got them a blanket and some paper towels to clean up theyre blood. I could smell liquor on the drivers breath, so they probally couldnt feel much of the pain anyway. Heres the funny part. It was a , estimate, 1997 Chevrolet Camaro SS. Good, stong, durable car. 'Cept this was a convertible. They flipped this thing doing god-knows-what-speed, and fell down a , my guess, 10-15 ft drop into the ditch. The fact that the driver got a scrape on the head and the passenger got a scraped knuckle blows my mind! But it was the sight of this beautiful sculpted piece of american muscle , flipped over in its top and scraped and totaled, that turned my stomach. So, slept with Jess again that night, and in the morning, we woke up and had a awesome turkey dinner, and then left. We got home, and Jess's Grandma invited me over to her place with jess to celebrate thanksgiving there, and meet the rest of Jess's family. We slept at Jess's Grandmas Sunday night, and this morning, Monday, we had an AWESOME turkey dinner, and I got to meet a few more relatives of Jess's which was a real honour, I had been looking forward to meeting them all for quite a while. So, we drove Jess home after, and now im home leaving a message with all you fine people! So, thanks Lisa, Shawn, Ruth, and Jim, for being so hospitable once again, and thank you Jessica Marie Wilder for spending this weekend with me and being the fantastic girlfriend that you are. Im the luckiest guy in the world to have you.
Love you all!
Kyle

A beautiful weekend, annoying busmates and one hell of a year
Well, the name says it all, if none of those interest you, well, your just... a weirdy. Haha.
So yeah, this weekend, I got to celebrate my 1 year anniversary with Jess. We had a beautiful time together.
Friday night, we exchanged gifts, I got Jess ( now that I can mention it :P ) A beautiful bracelet from Shawarvski ( spelling?) , and I had a Callendar made for her, a different picture each month of her and I, or somthing we have done together or a certain memory or whatnot.
I also had flowers delivered earlier that day, and once again, she got to be embarassed and most likely turn beet red infront of her peers. Oh, what fun :P
She got me a wallet, from Fossil, it is beautiful, and has a picture of her in it.
We went for some Din at Red Lobster, which was freakin awesome. I got "all you can eat" shrimp, and she got some "ultimate feast" or somthing like that. Contrary to, uh, rumours, she wasnt as messy as I've heard :P
Saturday we just chilled out at her rez and walked around and stuff, she didnt really feel like doing anything as she was kinda under the weather.
Sunday we met up, go train'd to the ZOO , and saw lots and lots of animals and "dinosaurs" and mean kids and awesome kid zoos. I even got licked by a goat and got to "be" a turtle. Haha.
I went home sunday night, and the guy beside me WOULDNT shut up!
" Do you follow sports??"
"Nah, not really, watching them on TV bores me"
"What about baseball?"
-Akward silence-
"Id rather watch paint dry."
The rest of the ride went like this. ANYWAY.......
Thanks for sharing such a beautiful year with me Jess. I love you very much and it sure has been one beautiful experience, spent with a beautiful girl , making beautiful memories of us, together.
What a beautiful sentence! :P Hah, I need help.
Take care everyone!
Much love!

Much love!

Tidy Crew rooms, replaced video games, creepy DC teachers, and cancer
-> Okay, so maybe the the last part of the title isnt very cheerful, so I'll get that out of the way first. Mrs. Mackenzie , my first period teacher, for peer tutoring, taught us up until last friday. This monday, we had a funny substitute teacher named Mr. Biffis, and he told us that we wont be having Mrs. Mackenzie anymore, because she is off with Cancer... Kinda crappy. He didnt go into specifics, but he said this type of cancer can be cured and removed, so I am guessing its breat or ovical cancer. In either case, I sincerely hope she gets better from this, she was a great teacher ever morning.
Onto more happy, fun things. I convinced Mr. Hibbs that it was indeed time to clean out all the CRAP from our crew room, some of the equipment in there is like 20 years old. It was really funny, I found a digital effects processor, that was about 6 inches thick, about 1' 4" wide and about 8" deep. For those of you who know anything about this type of equipment, thats (expotive deleted) thick! So we cleaned out all the crap, chemicals ( to avoid covering the room in a thin mist of Green paint :P ) and tomorrow, we just gotta put all the good stuff away and a truck will come pick up out trash. SWEEEET!
So, Monday night, I went and bought a steering wheel/gas pedal/brake pedal set for my xbox, which is sweeet, and i went to microplay and bought 6 more games for it. They were buy 1/ get one, so it was sweeet. I use the word "sweet" alot :P so anyways, I get home, and notice that all the cases are EMPTY! So, I called them up at microplay, and gave them a few "the source" comments, and went today and got my new games in the cases. Jerks.
So, Mr. Goman, the schools DC teacher, is still creepy. Guess weirdo's never change.
Well, thats all for now, take care everyone!
Much love!

Auditions, Callbacks, and Annoying niners
Hey everyone,
Haha, I say that as if there is more the one or two people that read this.
Anyway, Friday last week, I had an audition for a musical the school is putting on, called "footloose". It is based on a 80's movie, which coincidently shares the same title. It stars Kevin Bacon, and basically is just a bunch of guys in tight pants running around complaining about the rules. Kinda like school.
Anyhow, I auditioned for this, you auditioned infront of Mr. green, Ms. Price, Mr. Haggedorn, who played the piano, and the new jerk that teaches the exploring the arts class. Shes not actually a jerk, but shes no Debruyn either.
So, I had to go in, sing a song , which I chose to be the male exerpt from the song " A whole new world" from Disney's " Alladin" , and I actually did a pretty sweet job. They were all impressed, and they said that the callbacks will be on Monday or tuesday this week.
Sure enough, Monday morning , the list was posted, and believe it or not, I acually made it past "round 1" of auditions. Now that all the crap has beed syphoned from the mix, we have to do another audition Today, aftershcool. Apparently, we have to sing ANOTHER song, and do "movements" , not a dance, but "movements". aswell as read some lines.
Fair enough. If we want a "lead" role, we need to audition seperately doing a dance, as the lead roles are highly dance oriented. Kinda sucks, because dancing that im decent at, is for two people. Ballroom. Well, ill wing it, do a little jig, and see what happens.
Tonight, after the audition, I volunteered at Southridge for the meet the teacher night, which should be okay, but its going to be a long crappy day, nonetheless.
Well, only a couple days untill I get to see Jess, which is awesome.
Oh yeah, and the Niners are still annoying as ever. Even though theyre sophomores now, theyre still freshman in my mind. Geeze.
Well, guess thats all for now. Take care everyone!
Much Love!

My first post, a recap of the past while
Hey everyone, and thanks to whoever has taken the time to come and read my blog. I really appreciate it, and I hope that its not TOOOO boring to read. If you enjoy it, pass the link on to other people who know me.
So, I guess theres been quite a bit going on in the past while and I may as well catch up with everyone who isnt "in the know" on some or all of the details.
So, how far back should I go??
Alrighty, well Ill go back to July. Well, june to be precise ( but who cares about precision?) lol.
So, at the end of June, I helped my wonderful girlfriend Jess move into her new house, up in Ottawa. Was a bit scary, but was part of life and Im glad I was able to help out. Jess's mom invited me to stay up there, and I ended up being there in total, about 3.5 weeks, which was really awesome. I appreciate them having me so much, I had a freaking awesome time. Thanks again!
So, I came back, hung with some friends, caught up on the soap opera that is the teenage life, and somehow re-integrated myself into the lifestyle that I left behind here. Sucked really bad at first, but it got easier as time went on.
So I realized that I needed a job, so I went out and applied all over the place. Days go by, a week, nothing. One of my old friends, from back in grade four, ends up working at Ardenes, over at the Highland hills mall, I stop and talk to her for a bit, and it turns out her mom is a manager at the superstore. I go talk to her, and she says "bring in a resume and ill get you a job"
So, I go home, and what happens? I get a call from Sherwood systems, I got a job there. Freakin awesome, probably the best job yet.
So, worked there a bit, then I helped move Jess into University on August 25th., In Toronto. That was tough aswell, but it is a new chapter in both our lives and something that I was happy for her about. So, she gets all moved in, we had a beautiful , fantastic weekend. After she got all moved in that Saturday, I went back to my Grandmas ( who lives like 25 mins away from Jess) and stayed the night there.
*The enxt portion is from an Email I sent to Lisa, Jess's mom. Its long and I didnt feel like re-typing it, haha*
I went to a Busker Carnival with my Grandma Saturday night, and we saw this thing in a store, but I left my wallet at home so I couldn't buy it. So, I was out of the house by 7:30 Sunday morning ( Grandma had me up at 5 because thats when she got up) and went to the store to make sure I could get it for Jess, as it was apparently the last one in stock. Just my luck, place doesn't open until 10. Nonetheless, I waited and eventually bought her it. It is an Angel, and its beautiful, and I think she really liked it. It looks beautiful in her room. I saw an Angel, and I thought of her.
So, cruised around the big city for a whole whack of time, thinking I'd see her at noon. I rode the subway in its entirety, killed maybe 45 mins, if that. Probably less. Was waiting at Eaton center ( they have AC :)) And at noon, she says that she cant do anything till 4. A little disappointed, but at least I'd see her. Well, she ended up being done at 2, so that was a relief.
So, we got dinner, with my Grandma, at some Thai restaurant. It was delicious. Right after, she was too tired to really do anything so I walked her home and that was that. Thats alright though, because I planned on going up the next weekend anyway, so we could do more then.
So, funny few events happened during my little experience in Toronto.
Saturday, when I got to Toronto, tried to walk to my Grandmas house, following my "map". Well, this map sucked ass and didn't have anything labeled. So, I followed my instincts ( which may or may not have been a good idea) but I ended up getting there somehow , lol. Good thing Toronto's streets are like a grid.
Sunday Morning, left the house by 7:30, and before 8:00, not only did a guy try to buy marijuana off me, but a prostitute came up and said "hey big guy, whatcha up to"
Yeah, great start to the day. Needless to say I walked away from that.
On the subway, someone wrote ( flash me) on the back of my shirt, I didn't notice because it was so crowded, I figured people were just banging into me. So, after walking around for hours I ended up being told by an employee of "foot locker" that it was written there, and immediately bought a new shirt to avoid making more of an ass of myself.
So, when Jess told me she couldnt meet me at 12, I decided maybe seeing a show would be a good idea, theres a few decent movies that I wouldn't mind seeing.
Go to the first place that says "cinema"
Reading the movies playing there, sounded very dirty but I figured it was just a play on words. I look at the posters, its XXX. GREEEEAT.
So, no movies.
Walked around for a bit more, those black guys trying to raise money for black on black crime prevention stop me, I say no, and they say " Sir, are you a racist"?
So, I bought theyre damn newspaper.
Another lady somewhere else, from the "sick kids foundation" stops me, asks for donations, and following "no", she then proceeds to ask me if i even care about the well being of children at all. Yes, but chick still didn't get any money from me. She wanted credit card numbers. Yeah, right.
Then, there is this black guy, dressed all in black, wearing a cape and has a cardboard mask to cover his eyes. He jumps up on one of those silver garbage things on the side of the road, starts beating on it with a stick and whenever somebody walked by, we would say " the end is near" and hold the mask up to his eyes.
we-e-e-e-e-e-rd stuff.
There is probally lots more weird stuff, lol, I just forgot it by now.
*end of "email" portion*
So, the next weekend I went up, we shared a beautiful weekend together. Saturday, we went up the CN tower, to the VERY top, which was beautiful, and Sunday we went on a beautiful cruise on a Pirate ship. All in all, it was a truly fantastic weekend. That night, after dropping the princess off at her manor, I managed to go and get her anniversary present. Stay tuned to find out what it is, I cant really reveal it yet, being as she probably reads this.
Speaking of.....
So yeah....
Well, Im definitely tired of typing now, so if I think of anymore stuff, ill make a new post.
I worked a LONG day yesterday, at a Kardinal Offiishall concert downtown Kitchener. Worth it though, because I love Kardinal and I actually got to meet him and do sound for his performance, which was really neat. Now, I cant confirm this, but im fairly certain that I got to stand beside him at the urinal in city hall. Im almost positive it was him. creeepy, but cool.
Well, take care every one!
Much Love,
Kyle Hicks
